Graduate Students

What is the NARACES Graduate Student Committee (GSC)?:

The NARACES Graduate Student Committee (GSC) was developed to serve as the voice for Master’s and  Doctoral level graduate students enrolled in counseling programs within the North Atlantic region. Committee members are committed to assessing and addressing the needs of the graduate student body while fostering opportunities for ongoing professional development through networking events, webinars, trainings and the dissemination of relevant resources.

The NARACES GSC is a great way to get involved in the region, and to let your voice be heard.

Some of the things that we offer include:

  •
    • Writing opportunities in the Graduate Gazette (a place for your experiences as a grad student in the region to be heard. Typically 600-1000 words in length. Appropriate for things that may not fit into an academic journal, but are important for others to know nonetheless)
    • Professional development webinars/workshops (e.g. career development event series in 2021-2022 featuring the faculty job search process)
    • Conference meet-ups to connect with other students in the region for friendship and collaboration (e.g. ACES and NARACES conferences)

We always welcome your feedback and ideas to create new opportunities for our fellow graduate students! Ready to get involved right now!?
